Scentsy Story
Hi everyone!! I'm Lisa and I'm excited to share my love of Scents with you!!
A little about me, I have been married for 15 years to my husband Chuck and we have a son Carl who will be 12 in a few weeks! Although we've only been married for 15 years, we've probably known each other for close to 25! We met, got engaged and got married in a BOWLING ALLEY!!!
I joined Scentsy in 2022, I got introduced to the Scentsy Buddies and to say my son and I are obsessed with stuffed animals is an understatement. To have Stuffed Animals that smelled good as well!! Oh what a bonus. I decided since I was buying them anyway, I might as well make a little money back on them. So I joined just to make money off my own purchases. At that point, it was just a hobby, I would make a little, get my items for a discount and help a few friends get their items.
Fast forward 2 years, I was informed that my FT job of 11 years (I have been with the company for almost 17!) was being eliminated. I found this out 2 weeks after my husband had a total knee replacement. On top of that, his job is only part time so he did not get paid for the entire 2 months that he was on the mend. Talk about a huge blow. I struggled, depression, anxiety like I had never had before. BUT, the one constant was my Scentsy business and my Scentsy Family that had steadily grown and at the time I didn't realize had my back as much as I now KNOW they did. I BET on myself. I signed up for my first SFR (Scentsy Family Reunion) and spent a week in Florida in July and met the most amazing group of people - No, I said that wrong - FAMILY.
I pushed myself out of my comfort zone in ways that I never knew I could and have turned Scentsy into a part time LOVE. My why has turned into helping my family earn that extra trip, earn that extra money to do the sports and activities that my son loves to do. To earn the money for my shopaholic personality LOL. And to meet new people and make new friends and Scentsy Family members.
Oh - and how did the FT job story end you may ask? The day before I was supposed to end my journey with my company, I was offered a position in a different department, so not only did I take a trip to Florida, but started a new job, added a new teammate to my Scentsy Family and ended July top 5 in our team. So never stop following your dreams and don't let anyone -- including yourself let you think you can't do this!!!
